Flexo Converters USA, Inc. was founded in 1994 for the manufacture and distribution of retail paper shopping bags. Our corporate headquarters are adjacent to our manufacturing and distribution centers, which occupy a 185,000 square foot facility in Meriden, Connecticut.

At Flexo Converters USA, Inc., we pride ourselves on manufacturing products of the highest quality. With our state-of-the-art printing capabilities, the design possibilities are endless; and with a vast production capacity and a facility that operates 24 hours per day, six days per week, Flexo Converters is truly the expert in the industry.

In the summer of 2014, we will be adding several new machines to our facility, greatly increasing our daily production capacity. Future expansion to acquire a distribution center in the Southeastern United States will continue to increase our efficiency in serving our customers.Understanding our customers’ needs is of the utmost priority and we strive to ensure our product reaches the customer on time and meets our high quality standards.

Flexo Converters was originally founded in 1976 in Toronto, Canada as a polyethylene bag manufacturer. In the late 1970′s and early 1980′s, polyethylene was the world’s leading retail shopping bag material. During this time Flexo Converters Canada experienced rapid success and popularity, resulting in the need to continually expand and grow our product line. In 1984, Flexo Converters Canada moved to a larger facility, increasing its capacity to manufacture over 35 different polyethylene products. In 1989, Flexo Converters grew once again, purchasing a 55,000 square foot warehouse in Ontario, Canada.

By 1994, Flexo Converters decided to expand once more. We opened a facility in Meriden, CT to meet the needs of our expanding client base. By the early 1990's, the retail industry began to gravitate towards more environmentally friendly products.

In the drive to become more sustainable, the decision was made to focus on greener paper bags, and Flexo Converters USA was born. By the late 1990's, the retail industry comprised 70% of our customer base and came at a time when the retail industry began to shift away from plastic and focus on more sustainable solutions. Due to these changes in the retail industry, Flexo Converters Canada was sold in 2003 to focus on our paper division.

The paper division of Flexo Converters began to thrive as more and more retailers joined the campaign towards a more sustainable future. Since then, we have been at the forefront of the retail packaging industry through our commitment to sustainability, our dedication to customer service, and our corporate vision.

In the fall of 2016, Flexo Converters will be opening a new facility in Monroe, GA.
